Ph.D. candidate Lucia Vitale won a prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Program grant to fund 10 months of fieldwork in the Dominican Republic and Haiti for her dissertation project on the ways that people are included in or excluded from health services in the Global South. She credits the interdisciplinary nature of her education in the Politics Department for shaping her work.
